General Hospital: 5 Best Couples of 2023…
1 – Spencer Cassadine & Trina Robinson
Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) are one of the sexiest GH couples of 2023. They obviously clicked immediately away. Of course, they encountered more than their fair share of difficulties.
Spencer had to work hard to regain Trina’s trust after repeatedly betraying her, but he succeeded. They’re stronger than ever right now, but they still have one major challenge on General Hospital to overcome.
Recently, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) got her memories back — and she still hates Trina. More importantly, she hates that Spencer is in love with Trina. The old Esme is back, and it’s safe to say she’s not done wreaking havoc on “Sprina.”
General Hospital spoilers confirm that at the beginning of 2024, fans can expect the final showdown between Esme, Trina Robinson, and Spencer Cassadine. Chances are, “Sprina” will rise, and Esme will get what’s coming to her.
2 – Anna Devane & Valentin Cassadine – General Hospital Power-Couple
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) are another incredibly popular pair. Valentin and Anna were bitter rivals back in the day, when he was a true evil.
However, he was infatuated with her and had always loved her in secret. When they did eventually get together after a long separation, “Vanna” swiftly rose to the status of a General Hospital power couple.
Fans of GH are devastated by their tragic recent breakup. Naturally, Anna and Val remain in love with one another and may reconcile at some point in the future. That’s exactly what shippers of “Vanna” are looking for.
3 – Ryan Chamberlain & Heather Webber
Then there’s the insane Heather Webber (Alley Mills) and the psychotic Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom). These two mega-villains were definitely made for one another. The revelation that they were Esme’s parents was a delightful and thrilling turn of events.
Ryan is now formally deceased. But as viewers of General Hospital know, that’s meaningless in the world of soap operas. Although the serial murderer has left the scene for the time being, there’s always a chance he could come back. And he will undoubtedly get back together with Heather and Esme if he does.
4 – Olivia Falconeri & Ned Quartermaine on General Hospital
Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) and corporate shark Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) are two more of my favourite ships. Fans of General Hospital adore “Niv.” Their marriage has, in fact, been tested. Ned cheated on Liv for the first time with his ex-girlfriend, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
After they got past it, Olivia decided to forgive Ned. However, he lost his memory and believed he was Eddie Maine, his former rock star alter ego, while he was on General Hospital more recently.
Olivia tried her best to come to terms with the possibility that her husband would not return to her. Fortunately, Ned’s memories have returned, and they are now happy than before. There is always drama in Quartermaine, of course. And the legendary Q family is about to have the most dramatic New Year yet.
5 – Lucy Coe & Martin Gray
Last but not least is Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and her southern gentleman, Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight). Indeed, they’re a fun couple that fans love to watch. But they might be in for some angst soon on General Hospital.
Lucy is getting mixed up with her ex, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner). No doubt their latest scheme is a recipe for disaster that will likely blow up in their faces. And it could cost Lucy her relationship with Marty.

1 – Hamilton Finn & Elizabeth Webber
As far as the worst GH couples go, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) are certainly high on the list. The majority of General Hospital fanatics cannot stand the “Fiz” pairing — especially Liz fans.
The fanbase feels the relationship is forced and lacks chemistry. Furthermore, they want Liz to get her own storylines instead of just propping Finn. Currently, they’re together and happy, but fans want more for the GH legacy character — and they want her away from Finn.
2 – Austin Holt & Ava Jerome
Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Austin Holt (Roger Howarth) are the second-least favourite couple on General Hospital. As far as we know, they had only one intimate encounter, and it was brief due to Austin’s murder.
They weren’t going to last, though, as Ava discovered his deceit and lies. It’s fortunate that they weren’t well-liked by the audience as a pair. However, since it seems like someone is trying to frame Ava for his death, she might be held accountable.
3 – Nina Reeves & Sonny Corinthos
One couple that has fans divided is Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his new wifey, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). While many fans love “Sona” there might be more that loathe them. They hate that Nina let his family go on thinking he was dead when Sonny lost his memories.
And she’s continued to make terrible choices that hurt Sonny’s family since then. Indeed, the newlyweds are extremely happy together. But that is all about to change soon. Nina’s secrets are coming to light in the new year, and she will face a massive fallout.
4 – Drew Cain & Carly Corinthos
A lot of viewers of General Hospital aren’t afraid to express how much they detest Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright). They believe that Drew is a bad fit for Carly and that “Crew” has no chemistry at all.
Moreover, many believe Drew’s character has devolved into a joke. However, it appears that they will be living together for some time to come.
5 – Portia Robinson & Curtis Ashford on General Hospital
Donnell Turner’s character Curtis Ashford and Brook Kerr’s character Portia Robinson are the last couple on the GH worst list. Supporters are furious that Portia misled Curtis into believing Trina was his daughter all of her childhood. And a lot of people believe Curtis ought to never be able to forgive her.
But now that Curtis is immobile, Portia is supporting him. And thanks of her, he might soon take part in a trial process that might enable him to regain his ability to walk.
