After suffering following her separation from Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) and relapsing with alcohol, Terese Willis’ life is in jeopardy in the Neighbours finale.

But, while we hope Terese is doing well, the actor who plays her has hinted at a possible future for Terese and Glen, putting an end to Paul’s plans to reconcile with his wife and seek marriage counseling.

Rebekah Elmaloglou, speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, said: “She is completely at ease with Glen, and she is able to laugh and feel more like herself. Furthermore, because they both have the same addiction, he understands precisely what she is going through.”

“It would definitely shake things up [if the two characters met], which would be great to portray,” she continued, hinting that it may be a storey line in future episodes of the long-running drama.

Terese’s connection with Paul is undoubtedly a roadblock for anybody hoping to see Terese fall in love with Glen, especially after his manipulations and subsequent separation, which has driven Terese to revert to drinking as a “crutch when things go bad.”

However, Terese is “very upset” with Paul right now, according to Elmaloglou: “Over the course of their relationship, they have formed strong affections for each other, so when Paul does something that hurts her, she really feels it.”

Harlow tries to show Terese a report that shows Glen is hiding something in the finale, which aired earlier today (December 9), but Terese refuses to look at it, leading to a dangerous situation that leaves her dangling off a roof by her fingers.

“After being continuously disappointed, I believe she realises there may be something in the report that she doesn’t want to know and she just can’t cope with it,” Elmaloglou said of the character.

Terese has had a tumultuous past, and many Neighbours viewers simply want her to be happy – but is that the case with Glen? To find out, we’ll have to wait until next year.
